Xeo 20, a set of compact digital active wireless hi-fi speakers, embodies forty years of hi-fi expertise combined with cutting-edge digital technology. It is an evolution of the previous Xeo 4 model, packed with enhancements and modernizations from inside out. The design has been refreshed; with corner curves softened, edges smoothed, and the infra-red receiver relocated beneath the woofer for a cleaner aesthetic. Metal parts of the driver now feature a sleek black finish, embracing Nordic simplicity.

Internally, Xeo 20 boasts advanced technology with significant improvements. The 14cm Esotec MSP driver and 28mm Esotec soft-dome tweeter — renowned Dynaudio technologies — are each driven by individual 65W digital amplifiers. These amplifiers are finely tuned and optimized specifically for their corresponding drivers, allowing for unprecedented control over audio performance.

The tuning of the Xeo 20 is inspired by Dynaudio’s LYD 5 professional studio monitors, which are staples in music production environments. This influence promises an authentic audio experience, delivering sound as it was meant to be heard from the studio to your living room. Updates include enhanced firmware with better compressor and limiter algorithms and a refined crossover that provides improved integration between drivers, enhancing bass and off-axis sound performance.

Furthermore, Xeo 20 offers direct input capabilities, removing the necessity for external boxes to connect existing equipment, although additional connectivity options are available with the optional Dynaudio Connect box. The master speaker features versatile connectivity options, including 24-bit/192kHz Toslink digital optical, stereo RCA phono, and 3.5mm minijack inputs. In addition, built-in aptX Bluetooth allows for high-quality wireless streaming, ensuring detailed and rich audio playback.

Control and flexibility are also key features; the speaker setup can be easily customized with the master speaker switchable between the left or right channels. Upgraded remote controls offer improved range and interact over a longer distance, and for those who appreciate physical media, traditional inputs accommodate devices like cassette players or 8-track machines.

Lastly, Xeo 20 is compatible with Dynaudio's Stand 10 and Stand 20 and includes provisions for Vesa 100 mounts, offering versatile placement options to suit any room aesthetics and listener preferences.
