The Luxman M-150 is a stereo power amplifier manufactured in Japan between 1973 and 1978. This model features a distinctive silver finish complemented by wood paneling, making it visually appealing as well as functional. It offers a maximum power consumption of 280 W and operates at 30 W when no signal is present. The amplifier measures 476 mm in width, 244 mm in height, and 182 mm in depth, weighing around 15.5 kg. It was originally priced at approximately 1,800 DM. The M-150 has no remote control capabilities and includes a range of features such as separate level control for left and right channels, a stand-by display, a dual LED display for peak levels, and a large VU meter. The peak LED can be toggled on or off, in addition to VU meter switching capabilities. In terms of connections, it does not allow for direct inputs but utilizes loudspeaker terminals for output. Technically, the M-150 delivers a continuous power of 75 W per channel at 8 Ohms, with the capability to provide dynamic power of 150 W at 4 Ohms. It boasts a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.03%, an attenuation factor of 70 at 8 Ohms, and a frequency response ranging from 7 Hz to 100 kHz. The signal-to-noise ratio exceeds 80 dB, with channel separation also greater than 80 dB. The amplifier's noise voltage is rated at over 95 dB and includes a subsonic filter set at 12 dB/octave at 13 Hz.
