MasterSounds Audio is a premium British audio equipment manufacturer founded in 2008 by Ryan Shaw as a one-man operation in Manchester, England. Originally starting while Shaw worked at Phonica Records in London, the company began by creating turntable weights for stabilizing vinyl playback before expanding into high-end DJ equipment and audio accessories. Based in Stockport, Greater Manchester, MasterSounds has been at the forefront of premium audio for over 17 years, proudly supplying Technics SL-1200/1210 turntables to DJs, collectors, and music lovers worldwide. The company gained international recognition through their collaboration with renowned audio engineer Andy Rigby-Jones (former Allen & Heath engineer behind the Xone series), who co-designs their acclaimed rotary mixers including the Radius series at Union Audio's Cornwall facility. In June 2024, MasterSounds announced cessation of DJ mixer production, pivoting to focus on high-end sound systems like the Clarity M, audio accessories, and approved Technics turntables. All products are hand-built in England with meticulous attention to detail, embodying Shaw's mission to deliver biblical sound quality for DJs and audiophiles. The company continues operations from their Manchester headquarters while maintaining their reputation for boutique, artisanal audio equipment that represents the pinnacle of British audio engineering.
