Founded in 2016 as an extension of the legendary Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab (established 1977), MoFi Electronics emerged from Music Direct's vision to complete the audiophile audio chain with precision-engineered components. Born from Vice President Josh Bizar's longtime goal of developing exceptional turntables, the company established manufacturing operations in Ann Arbor, Michigan, less than 50 miles from Detroit. Collaborating with industry expert Allen Perkins of Spiral Groove, who contributed decades of turntable and tonearm design experience, MoFi Electronics creates meticulously crafted turntables featuring custom-engineered components including high-precision bearings, ultra-stable inert platters, isolated motors, and custom anti-vibration feet.
