The Sanyo TP-L 1 is a direct drive record player produced by Sanyo in Japan between 1978 and 1979. It has a classic brown finish and is designed for versatility in playback speeds, supporting both 33 1/3 and 45 RPM. The turntable is powered by a DC servo motor, ensuring stable and precise speed control, with a synchronous speed deviation of less than 0.025%. The unit features an S-shaped, statically balanced tonearm with an effective length of 222 mm and an overhang of 17 mm. The tonearm height is adjustable, allowing for custom setup to different records. It boasts a low rumble noise floor of greater than 70 dB, providing clear playback without interference. This model includes line-out connections via hardwired RCA outputs with a sound cell output of 3.4 mV. With dimensions of 450 x 158 x 364 mm and a weight of 8.9 kg, it combines robust performance with practical size. The original price upon release was approximately 899 DM.
