SVS (SVS Sound) is a high-performance audio equipment manufacturer founded in 1998 in Youngstown, Ohio by a group of audio enthusiasts seeking to develop better alternatives to under-performing and over-priced subwoofers. Originally starting in a garage with innovative cylindrical subwoofer designs, SVS quickly gained grassroots recognition through online audio forums for their no-nonsense, performance-first approach. The company exploded onto the audio scene with revolutionary subwoofer designs that delivered stunning low-end precision at unprecedented price points. Over two decades, SVS has evolved from a subwoofer specialist to a full-range audio company, expanding into loudspeakers with their Prime and Ultra series by the mid-2010s, and introducing wireless speakers with the Prime Wireless series in 2020. In 2024, they launched their most significant product line - the Ultra Evolution Series - featuring acoustically centered time alignment cabinet architecture and diamond-coated tweeters, representing 26 years of audio innovation.
