The Yamaha NS-200 Ma is a 3-way bookshelf speaker designed for digital audio quality. It features a robust 25 cm low-frequency driver made from a dual-layer diaphragm of carbon fiber and pulp cone, providing lightweight construction, high rigidity, and moderate internal loss. The mid-range is handled by a newly developed 10 cm carbon composite squawker unit employing a titanium carbonate center cap and a strontium magnet in its magnetic circuit. This speaker utilizes a catenary dome design for the high-frequency driver, enhancing rigidity with a 3 cm titanium carbonate dome. To further strengthen the setup, the unit's frame is thick aluminum die-cast, which gives it added stability and minimizes vibrations. When it comes to specifications, the NS-200 Ma outputs a frequency range from 50 Hz to 20 kHz. The crossover frequencies are set at 800 Hz for the mid-range and 5000 Hz for the high range with a slope of 12 dB/octave. It has a sensitivity rating of 90 dB/W/m, an impedance of 6 ohms, and can handle a maximum input of 100 watts with a music acceptance input of 200 watts. The external dimensions of the speakers are 320 mm in width, 585 mm in height, and 325.5 mm in depth, with a weight of 16.5 kg.
