Founded by Philip Swift and Derek Scotland in 1983, Audiolab began its journey driven by a profound love for audio. The debut of their first masterpiece, the 8000A Integrated Amplifier, set the standard for what was to come. This trailblazing product paved the way for a series of groundbreaking innovations, including the flexible yet purist 8000S amplifier, the highly-acclaimed 8000T - one of the finest FM Tuners of its time, the 8000PPA designed for LP enthusiasts, and the 8000M, a benchmark in monobloc power amplifiers.

A significant transformation occurred in 1997 when TAG McLaren acquired Audiolab. This ushered in the TAG McLaren Audio F3 range, showcasing a blend of aesthetic redesigns and enhanced internal configurations. The focus expanded to include high-end AV processors, speakers, and DVD players, specializing in the luxury home cinema market. TAG McLaren Audio's seven-year tenure was marked by pioneering surround sound products, advanced AV processors, and powerful multi-channel amplifiers.

2004 marked a new chapter as Audiolab transitioned under the International Audio Group (IAG) umbrella. This change refined the product line, blending improved engineering with the classic, straightforward Audiolab style. Today, Audiolab stands as a paragon of musical passion and technical expertise, continually striving for acoustic perfection while honoring the original ethos of its founders.

The 2009 launch of the 8200 series represented a bold leap into a new era for this storied British brand. This series, acclaimed for its musicality and modern flair, garnered numerous accolades, including ‘Product of the Year’ in various categories. The upcoming LAB series, set for a 2014 release, promises to revolutionize the Digital Hi-Fi market.

2015 introduced the 8300 Series, a sophisticated answer to how people relish their music. This series, evolving from the 8200 blueprint, brought about a hi-fi system that not only led its field but leaped ahead with more efficient components, high-definition audio technology, and sleek design.

The 2018 debut of the 6000A & CDT models, drawing on the 8300 series' strengths, quickly achieved iconic status within the Audiolab lineup.
