The Dynaudio Sapphire boasts a unique design characterized by twelve distinct surface planes and twenty-four adjoining lines, giving it a distinctive and elegant appearance.
The mid-band frequencies in the Sapphire are handled by a dedicated Dynaudio midrange driver. This driver incorporates Dynaudio’s proprietary MSP (Magnesium Silicate Polymer) cone material and features dispersion-optimized geometry, which ensures that every note is reproduced with perfect clarity, purity, and naturalness. To safeguard against potential interference from the internal bass drivers' back-waves, the midrange driver is securely mounted to the baffle in an acoustically isolated, specially shaped low-resonance cabinet chamber.
High-frequency sound waves, which are delicate and require a stable and unyielding anti-resonant foundation, benefit greatly from the Sapphire's low-resonance, extremely solid cabinet. This cabinet includes an internal chamber specifically designed for the midrange driver and tweeter, thereby providing the ideal setting for integrating an advanced tweeter platform, such as the Esotar2.
The Sapphire’s high-performance drivers are all connected and equalized via another Dynaudio specialty: a 1st order crossover. This crossover is comprised of carefully selected, tonally-balanced high-grade components, ensuring that the sound remains cohesive and well-integrated across the entire frequency spectrum.
