V 70 SE

The V 70 SE is an impressive line level integrated amplifier delivering 2 x 70 W peak output power. Sharing design principles with its sibling, the V 40 SE, the V 70 SE stands out by offering increased power, control, and dynamics. Building on the expertise from previous models, OCTAVE has incorporated numerous enhancements in the V 70 SE. Housed in the larger, refined chassis structure of the V 80, the V 70 SE provides superior performance while its delicate electronic circuits are insulated from the magnetic interference of the transformer and mains. The mains transformer itself is a specialized, low-noise type encased in a magnetic box.

The Output Stage features two power Tetrodes (Type 6550 JJ) per channel, and thanks to the BIAS Control and Monitoring System, users can swap in other pin-compatible output tubes to tailor the amplifier to their personal preferences or to utilize new and improved tube options. Utilizing the enhanced pentode configuration, like all OCTAVE amplifiers, the V 70 SE remains completely stable against varying speaker impedance, accommodating loads as low as 2 ohms. This stability is largely due to the Single Impedance Output Transformer.

Moreover, the V 70 SE includes advanced features such as Soft-Start Electronics, a Protection System, Eco Mode, BIAS Setting and Display, Monitor/Record Output, HT Bypass, Pre-Out, and a (Super) Black Box Connection.
