The Digital Monitor Controller (DMC) is a sophisticated piece of audio equipment designed to provide a seamless interface for monitoring systems, especially when using PMC's range of loudspeakers equipped with digital inputs. As an integral part of any professional audio setup, the DMC ensures high-fidelity sound reproduction while offering extensive control over the monitoring environment. Compatible with several models, including the twotwo series and IB2S-A among others, the DMC facilitates effortless integration with PMC's renowned loudspeaker systems.

Its comprehensive functionality goes beyond basic volume adjustment. The DMC supports two 5.1 and three stereo inputs, allowing for the configuration and control of separate 5.1 and stereo monitoring systems. Users benefit from easy access to bass-management features, critically important for optimizing performance with subwoofers in varied acoustic environments. The design of the DMC includes a 1U rackmount Digital Monitor Interface (DMI) to which all compatible speakers connect, paired with a DMC remote control unit. This remote, positioned on the user's tabletop and powered via the DMI, simplifies the management of speaker selection and master volume adjustments.

Furthermore, the DMC allows users to calibrate reference monitoring levels according to personal preference, alongside convenient functions like 'Surround to Stereo' and 'Stereo to Mono' downmixing. Essential controls such as channel Mute, Solo, and Solo-in-front are also readily accessible. Each speaker's level can be individually adjusted and saved within the system's memory, and the option to delay inputs by up to 340 milliseconds provides additional flexibility, with two presets available for storing preferred configurations.

As an all-digital device, the DMC excels in its internal processing capabilities, conducted by a powerful 32-bit FPGA. This technology provides an exceptional internal dynamic range of over 135dB, maintaining a low latency of merely 0.042 milliseconds. It processes 24-bit digital signals at sample rates up to 192kHz, showcasing its ability to handle high-resolution audio. Synchronization is achieved either through one of its digital inputs or an external source via its sync input. Outputs for discrete stereo and surround sound are facilitated by a DMI D-sub connector, which extends to XLRs for convenient connection to external devices.

Overall, the DMC's integration of advanced technical specifications with user-friendly controls makes it an indispensable tool for audio professionals seeking precision and consistency in their monitoring setups.
