The Canton Karat 711 DC is a 3½-way bass reflex floor-standing loudspeaker that was produced from 2005 to 2007. It features a sophisticated design with a combination of performance and aesthetic appeal. The speaker measures 1150 mm in height, 200 mm in width, and 475 mm in depth, providing a substantial presence in any audio setup. Weighing 42 kg per unit, the Karat 711 DC boasts a gross volume of 109 liters. The enclosure is constructed from low-resonance MDF, further enhancing sound quality. The speaker is equipped with a 310 mm aluminum woofer, two 180 mm aluminum midrange drivers, and a 25 mm aluminum-manganese tweeter, offering a wide frequency response from 20 Hz to 40 kHz. It supports bi-wiring and bi-amping with its gold-plated terminals. The nominal power handling is rated at 250 watts, with a peak (musical) power handling of 380 watts. The efficiency rating is 89 dB at 1 watt, 1 meter, and it has an impedance range of 4 to 8 ohms. The crossover frequencies are set at 150 Hz, 400 Hz, and 3,000 Hz, ensuring smooth transitions across frequency bands. Available finishes include silver and graphite lacquers, contributing to its modern aesthetic.
