The Harman/kardon HK 650 is an integrated amplifier that was produced between 1999 and 2001. It features a sleek black design and has a power consumption of 410 watts. The dimensions of the amplifier are 443 mm in width, 110 mm in height, and 405 mm in depth, with a weight of 10.35 kg. The HK 650 includes a remote control (HK 690) for convenient operation. With a price tag of approximately 999 DM when first launched, it later became available for around 510 EUR. The amplifier offers a comprehensive connection setup, including 8 inputs—tuner, CD, two video inputs, and two tape inputs, among others—and 6 outputs that accommodate 2 pairs of speakers as well as tape recording outputs and a headphone jack. The technical specifications highlight its performance capabilities: 80 watts per channel at 8 ohms with less than 0.09% total harmonic distortion (THD) for sine power, and a dynamic power rating of 85 watts at 8 ohms. It can deliver even more power at 4 ohms and features a high current reserve of +/- 75 Amps. Frequency response extends from 5 Hz to 100 kHz at 1 W, with an attenuation factor of 120 and a signal-to-noise ratio of 95 dB for tuner/CD inputs. The HK 650 has adjustable tone controls with a ±10 dB range for both bass and treble frequencies. Special features include a power switch that eliminates standby power consumption and recording source switching capabilities.
