The Dual BS/DO program offers a streamlined pathway for students aiming to become Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). The program allows participants to secure a medical school seat at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) through a partnership with Elmira College, removing the stress of seeking medical school acceptance or preparing for the MCAT. The program features two tracks: an accelerated 2+4 track that spans six years, where students complete their Bachelor's degree in Biology in two years and then transition to the DO program for the following four years, and a traditional 4+4 track, where students spend four years completing their undergraduate degree before entering LECOM's DO program. Admission to the program requires maintaining a minimum GPA and completing a successful medical school interview. This unique educational approach is designed for students dedicated to a future in healthcare, emphasizing both academic rigor and early career readiness.
